American Consumer Opinion (acop.com) is a worldwide network of people who share their opinions through participation in surveys. Membership in ACOP is free, and the registration process is a bit tedious but worthwhile. The survey questions asked during the registration help ACOP determine whether a particular household qualifies for specific surveys. For example, a family with young children would be better suited to participate in a survey on toys for toddlers than those who have teenagers.
Join ACOPOnce a month, all members are entered into a $250 drawing. Every few months, members will be sent a “screener”, which is essentially a brief questionnaire. Every member who takes the time to complete a screener will be entered in another drawing for cash awards. Longer questionnaires, or surveys, are offered to members several times a year. On occasion, members may be asked to participate in a survey via mail or phone, but most are done online. The surveys usually only take about ten minutes to complete, but each member who completes a survey receives an incentive such as cash, a check, small gift, or trial product; the value of which can range from $2 to $50.
